I was invited to join a panel at the UK Music Theatre Conference, held at the Soho Walthamstow on 15 April to talk about what our report, British Theatre Before & After Covid, had to say about musical theatre. It was an enjoyable panel — me and David Brownlee — and I was able to present some of the key findings about musical theatre. I even had a chance to expand on some of the findings, showing the growing importance — on all indicators — of the new musical. (outperforming the musical revival in numbers of seats filled). Iy was a large attentive crowd and great to get these findings out to a wider audience.
